It's not. I said there are appropriate times and places for discussing that kind of thing and that immediately after someone's death is not one of the. Neither, IMO is when someone is within days of death. And yes, there are other circumstances when it would feel wrong to start dissecting someone's achievements/beliefs and no, I can't list them all right now. I think this is what I find most frustrating about this argument - I've a finely tuned sense of when I consider letting rip appropriate but can't communicate the principles behind it very well eg. it'd have been wrong to lay into Gordon Brown when his first daughter died/during her short life. It'd have been wrong to attack Norman Tebbit immediately after the Brighton bombing.
