And back down to earth

Finally got my practice legal writing back yesterday and it was graded 'borderline' - legal writing is a skill that is marked 'competent'/'non competent' - you can either do it or you can't.

I'm not too concerned about it because the mistakes I made were in law (specifically what consitutues a personal chattel when someone dies intestate and was married at the time of death) and not in the content/presentation of the letter. But it's pleasantly reassuring to see that I can make mistakes too!

It's also pleasantly reassuring to see that I can cope with making mistakes like that and not feel a failure. Means I'm far more stable than I ever was in Oxford.
