Shoes

Periodic whinge

I'm running out of patience with my pair of these black loafers. I've been trying to wear them in for some months now and I'm still not getting anywhere. Wearing them for a wander about the town centre at lunch time was enough to almost give me a blister on my heel.

It's not really summery enough yet to not have a functional pair of flat black shoes, so I think I'm going to have to go shoe shopping. Within Bury I have a fair degree of choice in shoe shops - there's a Clarks, three good independent retailers (plus some others who only sell silly shoes, plus a Barretts and I'm prejudiced and don't shop there). There's also an M&S with a shoe department.

I heard good things about MBT shoes about a year ago - who has them? Are you still wearing them regularly? Are they worth the price?

I've been browsing around Love those shoes recently - and I don't know what's science and what's marketing spiel.

One of the indpendent retailers near me sells Padders shoes - they look potentially sensible. They also sell Ecco which look good (well, some of their stuff does. I don't do shoes with air holes).
