Don't forget about your local library as a source of books, CDs & DVDs. It's free to join. They also sell off ex-stock cheaply. I bought two books for 60p each on Thursday. Yay for libraries.
If you're 25 or under, have a look at the Youth card. It's like the ISIC, but based on age not student status. Also have a look at the Euro (under)26 card. I haven't bought either of those yet, but I am intending to do so at some point soon.
