CDs
In a behind-the-times-shocker - I have a number of CDs that I use when I have a hire car and I have two problems:
1) some of them seem to be getting old/dirty/otherwise broken and don't play properly - is there an approved way to clean them or do I need to replace them?
2) I don't have anything to store them in except their original cases - what do you recommend by way of a CD storage device that I could just pick up and take to the car without faffing about with six different plastic CD cases?
AIUI cars seem to have CD players but not places to attach an MP3 player, so I'd rather stick with CDs rather than attempt to transform my entire music collection into another format. I normally only listen to music when driving (in part because my casette/CD player seems to be getting old and CDs were generating errors there before they regularly did in car CD players).
