ghoti has also) been searching for a non Nestle made version of condensed milk. I'm having to concede defeat with googling/looking at supermarket shelves, so I'm wondering whether to have a go at making a vegan condensed milk substitute. Has anyone ever made something like that? How did it compare with the 'real thing' in terms of taste/consistency etc?
