LJ Advisory board

LJ are in the middle of electing a user representative to join their Advisory Board. If I had a bit more faith in LiveJournal and time I wanted to devote to this kind of thing, I'd be standing myself, but I don't have either inclination or time so I'm not standing. However, someone I know via LiveJournal support/sort of Oxford-ish circles is standing and I wanted to point out his post to you.

I think [livejournal.com profile] imc will do a good job. Obviously I'm not suggesting people should vote for him *simply* because I'm saying I think he's good - everyone has their own criteria for working out who they want to support and far be it for me to attempt to interfere with that.

What I feel I can say legitimately is go and have a read of the nominations in the community and see if you feel able to support any of the candidates/whether on the basis of what you read you choose to not vote.

Duly supported. As it happens, he's one of only two candidates I actually feel would do a decent job (the other being [livejournal.com profile] squeaky19). There are people nominating themselves that haven't been on LJ even 2 years yet that are putting themselves forward; personally I prefer to add my support to those who have been on LJ almost as long as I have (six and a half years and counting) and have seen how the site has grown and developed over that time. Experience of LJ Support can only be a major plus in my eyes!

He already had 108 votes when I added mine, but more can't do any harm!
