Too many tasks squeezing into the available time

But good things - bought files + bits to sort GFIs

Egg refunded me that money on 30/01/04, so no need to worry about that.

Ordered a cheque book/changed address with the Nationwide (they had flat 5 down as flat 1).

Now, am learning about Vim in a Vim IRC channel:-)

Need to have another play with SSI.

Can any of you tell me what I can do with the stats I get from my websites? What use is knowing how many people visited/which browswers they used etc?

The 'what browser' figure will be wrong anyway, as some browsers lie about they identity (as a matter of necessity).

Yes, that's exactly why.

Referrer

Perhaps the most interesting thing your visitor logs will show is from where people are coming. Which sites link into yours, which drive the most traffic, what search engine terms lead your way.

odd you can't see the search terms used - isn't it in the referer URL (eg for google 'http://www.google.com/search?q=%22search+term...')?

it can be useful to see daily spikes in your total number of hits - i've seen spikes in logs and only later connected them with a particular one-off action. browser/OS/etc generally tell you nothing of use.
