General update on life
Well, today's the first day I've had 'free' for a long time. Yesterday's accounts assessment went really well - I'm 99% certain I've passed. I'd be willing to bet (money or alcohol) that I've got a Commendation or a Distinction in the Business paper.
Post accounts assessment and a little shopping I went to the Gllug meeting, which was good - even if I'm not likely to be installing a wireless network on Linux in the near future or to have a need for Nagios.
After the meeting I went to the pub, drank more than I've drunk for a while (five archers and lemonades - I don't like beer) met lots of people - I'm not good with names, and many of these people have different IRC nicks to their names which makes it even more difficult for me.
Today I've not done a great deal - two loads of washing, sorting of LPC notes to put away the old ones/find the material for next week. Yay - I get a week off!
I've been told to priv play in g/unk, which means that I get to pretend I've got the privileges to approve other people's answers and write ICs saying what I'd do if I had the relevant privs - so I've been having a go at that.
I've just joined Phoenix Senior Section unit, and have spent some time sorting out subscriptions to the various email lists. I've also replied to random email - though there's more of that to do.
So that leaves knitting, sewing (quilting a cushion cover, turning up some trousers), making a decision about the campsite and all sorts of other things that I've not yet managed to do.

Congratulations on excellent progress in your exams! Nice to know that you have given more examiners hell. :-) (Or, perhaps, the same examiners more hell.)

It includes those who are adult leaders, Young Leaders (those aged 14-17 who work with a unit), Rangers (14-25 year olds who meet as a group to do activities) and others.
NetGuides was set up to pilot Guiding on the internet for those unable to go to Unit meetings. The pilot has ended and the NG SS Unit has reformed as Phoenix Senior Section.
I've joined it so that I get a chance to do the various awards available to me with some support ie. people to agree that I've completed particular challenges/suggest new things for me to do. There isn't a SS Unit local to me, and I believe that the one nearest to me is full of 14-18 year olds, and I'd rather be in a group with people slightly closer to my own age/life experience.
And thank you once again:-) They won't know what's hit them!

Re: Phoenix Senior Section
Email Theresa (monkstj@yahoo.co.uk) or Felicity (fburgess@ukonline.co.uk) about joining. If you don't hear anything back prod me again and I'll poke them for you.
Nice to meet you;-)
