Ramblings from my desk
It does seem to have been a little while since I last updated this journal, so what have I been up to?
Well last week there was
There's not a great deal I can write about that here, given the law on contempt of court - but I can say that I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of facilities for jurors within the court - nice comfy chairs and some proper tables and chairs. The annoying things were really petty things - like the oath not being grammatical, there not being coffee in our retiring room, the food being overpriced etc. But it was worth doing - I have a far better idea of how I'd present information to a jury, because I know what I liked and didn't like about the way the lawyers argued their cases. I couldn't believe how much spare time I had - some of which I put to good use, by doing some shopping and investigating loans to do the LPC.
Not sure what else really. Well, my sister and I did even more shopping on Saturday - including buying the new Harry Potter film, that neither my mother or I had seen.
I've now managed to get a bit further along with doing module five of the camp and holiday scheme, by actually managing to talk to the right person.
I've also got a job interview next week, and should probably spend some time having a search for some information for it - it involves presenting a lesson to 11-14 year olds, which is semi scary, but also quite exciting - at least it would be if they were going to give me some real kids - as it is it is just scary.
Update
Why does the 'okay' icon not look OK? When I say I'm OK, I mean I'm OK, not that I'm not OK.
