Marna's books' lemming

Book lemming from Marna

What are you currently reading?

Hmm - I can never remember book titles - the book my Dad got me for Christmas, and I'm re-reading all kinds of other things - a Tom Clancy, the fifth Harry Potter and Jean M. Auel's series.....

How long have you been reading it (or them)? How much longer do you think it will take you to read it?

Since a train journey from Basingstoke to London (or more likely the other way round since 7.53am is a bit too early for me to be awake enough to read. How much longer depends on me getting through my to do list/numbers of train journeys when I'm awake.

Is it a gobble-in-one-session sort of book, or a read slowly through book, or a pick a page at random now and then book?

A read through slowly one - though it could be a gooble all at once one, if I had the time:(

Do you ration books and force yourself to read them slowly? What books have you done this with recently?

Nope - though I often reread them - I read so fast I usually miss bits and pieces first time round.

Do you sometimes *wish* that you'd rationed a book when you get to the end of it?

Occassionally, but it's more that I wish the story continued and that there's a sequel to read....

What was the last book you bought?

I don't remember - may have been the Tom Clancy I bought for 40p in the library; I've been good and not bought books recently.

Do you know what book you're going to buy next?

Not really - there's a new one by David Eddings - the Elder Gods which I'd like to buy at some point but only when it's out in paper back, maybe something by Wilbur Smith/Tom Clancy.

How many borrowed books are sitting on your shelves?

None, 'cos I don't have any shelves, though there are four on the floor - three from the library and one from Anna.

When will they get given back?

When I've finished reading them and remember to take them to the library/when I next see Anna

How many books of yours are currently on other people's shelves?

My Mum's stolen Polgara the Sorceress - by David Eddings, and one of my favourite books.

When do you expect them to return?

When she's finished reading it.
