General update on life
Well, today's the first day I've had 'free' for a long time. Yesterday's accounts assessment went really well - I'm 99% certain I've passed. I'd be willing to bet (money or alcohol) that I've got a Commendation or a Distinction in the Business paper.
Post accounts assessment and a little shopping I went to the Gllug meeting, which was good - even if I'm not likely to be installing a wireless network on Linux in the near future or to have a need for Nagios.
After the meeting I went to the pub, drank more than I've drunk for a while (five archers and lemonades - I don't like beer) met lots of people - I'm not good with names, and many of these people have different IRC nicks to their names which makes it even more difficult for me.
Today I've not done a great deal - two loads of washing, sorting of LPC notes to put away the old ones/find the material for next week. Yay - I get a week off!
I've been told to priv play in g/unk, which means that I get to pretend I've got the privileges to approve other people's answers and write ICs saying what I'd do if I had the relevant privs - so I've been having a go at that.
I've just joined Phoenix Senior Section unit, and have spent some time sorting out subscriptions to the various email lists. I've also replied to random email - though there's more of that to do.
So that leaves knitting, sewing (quilting a cushion cover, turning up some trousers), making a decision about the campsite and all sorts of other things that I've not yet managed to do.
