I've been meaning to say this for a while - eviepeevie is an old school friend of mine - she doesn't seem to know many LJ people yet, so geeky people please make her feel welcome!
While I remember - if you've ever used PuTTY, you might be interested to meet simont - one of its maintainers. ewx is also very nice, so's hsenag - it's generally one of those two that rescues me when I get stuck trying to write CSS/SSI etc.
there seem to be a lot of people of live journal ;)
Thanks for your msg [posted on Ria H's site] indicating where Heenal's livejournal entry was. It is interesting to read people's musings on the internet. I doubt however that I would be able to sustain the habit of putting things in a daily journal for long. It is impressive that others do.
Hope things are OK with you. What are you up to nowadays? Are you working?
I work for Haringey Council at the moment [have only been working here for a couple of mounths]. It's nice and fairly pleasant here most of the time and the workload isn't bad [hence i have time to look at people's livejournal entries!]. I live near to where i work so commuting [the bane of life in London and the south-east] isn't much of a problem for me.
Regards,
Vino
Re: there seem to be a lot of people of live journal ;)
Things are going fine with me, though I'm very, very busy (with two jobs, taking the Legal Practice Course part time, running a Guide Unit and other Guiding stuff). I'm living in north London and working in Vauxhall - so my travelling time is around 45 minutes each way which isn't too bad (it's much, much better than the two hours each way I used to do when I was living with my mother) I find writing about what I've been doing/having a good rant every now and then makes me feel better. It's self indulgence in the extreme:-) I only have time to do this because I've got a relatively light workload in my day job.
There's loads more I can tell you but don't particularly want lying round the Internet for anyone to see....if you set up a LiveJournal for yourself I can add you to my 'friends list' and let you see various protected entries (ie. entries set up so only people who I've selected can read them) or, if you send me your email address (to karenmcatamney@yahoo.co.uk if you don't want to post it here) I can waffle at you with more detail.
Glad you're enjoying your job with Haringey! I think you might know, inter alia, neonchameleon. LiveJournal just makes the world very very small.

Thanks for your reply. My email address, for those that want to email me is vinothan.sangarapillai@haringey.gov.uk
I do not believe I know neonchameleon as the council does seem to be a very large institution and different departments often don't tend to communicate [which is a problem if what we are aiming for is joined-up government!]
Two jobs and studying does sound like quite a tiring business. I don't think I could manage more than 1 job!
Thanks Karen
Hi to all Karens friends.
