Broken microwave saga

In short 'cos it's already gone time for leaving work:

1, Engineer phoned while I was in the canteen.

2, Stupid man didn't leave a phone number/withheld his number.

3, I phoned Iceland customer care and got put on hold for ages. Was then told that (a) I couldn't contact the engineer and (b) that engineers can't come to workplaces - wtf, - that was when I tried to rearrange the call for another day.

4, After much phoning I've found the nearest Iceland to me (at work - the microwave is here) is in Stockwell, and that they're open till 8pm this evening.

5, I can't take my microwave there to return it, 'cos their systems only have records of what they've sold - I need to take it back to Basingstoke.

6, I'm getting mightily pissed off with all of this.

7, I need a microwave.

8, I think I'm going to go to Oxford Street and do some sales shopping, and if I find a microwave I like I'll buy it and I'll then just return the one that's here the next time I go home.

Yes, I have noticed that I've been posting less publically than I have been - I've got some theories on that, but for now, poke me if I don't make more public posts.
