Q1: If you were going to chat me up, what chat-up line would you use?

Q2: If I was to try to chat you up, what chat-up line should I use?

While in this general subject area - I was sitting at Esher train station waiting for a train back to Waterloo yesterday evening when a guy came along and sat down and firstly asked me if I knew when the next train would be, which is a perfectly reasonable question to ask of strangers in train stations. He then asked 'I don't mean to be rude but is that your natural....'(referring to my breasts). I wasn't offended per se and just nodded yes - the line that I should have said 'Well, of course they are - do you think people have their boobs enlarged this much for fun???' only occurred to me as I was writing this post. I think he then made a comment about large boobs being good to which I pointed out the practicalities of trying to run round with large bits of your body bouncing about. And he asked me if I was waiting for a reduction - err no. Annoying and irritating but not sufficiently problematic that I'd want surgery *and* I'd like to be able to breastfeed when I have kids. The coversation then continued with him saying something like 'you're nice' and telling me he was going to Surbiton with the implication that I would be welcome to join him while I kept on breaking eye contact and looking down.

Slept very badly last night - went to sleep around 10.30 (ridiculously early for me) and had turned the computer off about an hour beforehand so I didn't
learn of Richard Whiteley's death until this morning:-( I used to come in from school and watch Countdown, followed by 15 to 1 with Daddy. I'm hopeless at the letters games but reasonably competent with the numbers. I wonder if it can survive without him. Home Truths is surviving without John Peel but it's palpably Not The Same. Woke up and opened a window/turned the fan on and then tossed and turned for much of the rest of the night.

Somewhat to my surprise, I'd been watching something on BBC4 on Saturday evening when I got sidetracked online and didn't pay a lot of attention to the telly until I realised that I was watching Glastonbury coverage and that I didn't hate the music.
