Finally, I think I've got it
Feb. 19th, 2004 10:03 amAfter weeks of trying, I think I've got my SSI working!
Have a look for me if you want http://www.villagefabrics.co.uk/Test/indexssi.shtml
The /Test/ bit is just a test folder created within public_html in order that I can experiment without breaking the whole site.
So, just to write the rest of navbar.shtml, add (I think) to all of the pages, add a new class to the CSS to hide the Skip Navigation Bar links, remove the accesskeys (!trouts WC3 for not updating their own guidance - accesskeys are currently a bad idea 'cos they override user defined keys,) alter sitemap.shtml to remove references to accesskeys and we're done.
Then I can go all ambitious again and write a gifts page - nesting boxes with pictures of kittens! and others with different pictures eg. sewing items, puppies IIRC, quilters' soap, nice hand creams and other bits and pieces that non quilters might like to give to their quilting friends.
And maybe an 'about us' page with details of our staff and maybe some nice pictures.
Then we need a Christmas page, but I can't do that till I have details of what we have in the Christmas room.
