neonchameleon pounced on me before I'd had a chance to search for the couple of books I was after, so we went in search of them together and then found a table to sit at. He'd been on a two day away-day thing and was laden down with a huge rucksack.
thefairmelissa came to join us and we got into a lovely theology discussion - I learnt a lot of things about Catholicism I hadn't known. We did the name dropping thing - we'd all known some of the same people in Oxford, though had never met while we were there. Then came a coffee trip - I needed to eat properly for reasons which will become clear in my next post (Francis - I must owe you some money) and
mstevens coming along with two Americans - Sarah and Ben who are #perl inhabitants.
Melissa left us just after 7pm - lovely to have met you at last!
hairyears came along soom after that and
fluffymark also came at some point. I can't really remember what the conversation turned to then - there was a fair bit of India and computer techy bits and loads of other stuff:-)
ali_anarres came along later in the evening - she'd been stuck at work for ages:-(
I distributed Green & Blacks expresso chocolate and it went down like ice cream on a summer's day.....it's fairly expensive, but *really* *really* tasty, so try some if you get the chance.
You lot seem to have much more stamina than me, so we're aiming to do the same next week - same time, same place:-)
(that's Borders in Oxford Street, 6pm onwards)
