Anyone got any thoughts?
I know that I tend to be suspicious of sites offering free software (unless that's *all* they do eg. the PuTTY + Mozilla websites) and tbh, I can't think of any software I'd want to offer/that people'd find helpful.
A webdirectory worth of links wouldn't be a bad idea (but where's the line between providing a service to our customers and giving our competitors free advertising?)
The amount of work involved in maintaining an online discussion board/chat room fills me with dread. But, setting up a discussion mailing list might serve the same purpose & be easier for me to administer.
Free affiliate programmes sound tacky & overly American to me.
Up to date news - yeah, sounds good, but this requires me knowing what the up to date news is, and updating the site very regularly.
