karen2205: Me with proper sized mug of coffee (Default)
Well the weekend consisted of feeling tired Friday evening - indeed too tired to write emails, and if I know that what I'm writing isn't making sense then I'm extremely tired. Walk with four of our Patrol Leaders on Saturday morning - I didn't get home until about 3pm. It was wet - which made the whole thing far less pleasant than it could have been - but it was good fun. I still don't have a great deal of confidence in my map reading skills, or in my ability to identify trees/flowers, and I'm not really sure what I can do to fix that. I'm also becoming increasingly convinced of the usefulness of walking boots and gaiters as opposed to wellies for walking in. I'm as much concerned that I'll buy boots that'll give me blisters as I am about the total cost - since I can see them as being worthwhile in the long run. Oh well, might go shopping next week - I get Tuesday off, even though I don't get paid for it.

I was so incredibly tired after the walk as well, when I got home, I changed clothes and then collapsed. At least five and a half miles isn't as far as I'd feared it might be - it's been a long time since I've walked that kind of distance - actually probably not that long - I'm sure we walked a reasonable distance in Cumbria, but around here everything's flattish, which makes it much easier to walk than anywhere in Cumbria.

Sunday wasn't much better on the tiredness stakes - I was forced out of bed at 10.30 and should really have gone back to bed afterwards. I was so sleepy I even tried lying down in the middle of the afternoon, but nothing seemed to help, so I just gave up and felt tired. It wasn't until about 6pm that I began to feel awake.

And now for that meme thing Read more... )

And after all of that my shoulder does hurt - this is my left shoulder that generally starts to hurt when I'm tired or I've been lifting lots of things - I did go to Sainsburys at lunch time, but the bags weren't that heavy.

Ah well, half an hour till I can go home.....
